Baby Walton session

Don't let their small size fool you. This little one has tons of energy, once he finally wakes up. You might notice a few less than friendly looks. Well, he hadn't fully waken up yet and was very suspicious of me. But he finally warmed up and then we were running....literally. But he sure is darling. His mommy brought the cutest little outfits for him and he just hammed it up for the camera. I love photographing little ones at this age!

Rivers siblings session

I met up with this brother and sister pair to do a photo shoot that is being done as a surprise for their father - what a neat idea! A family friend had contacted me and arranged everything. When these siblings showed up, we had an easy-going session and just walked around and explored the area. Seriously, they were so easy-going! It made my job so easy.

Emmite family session

Ok, so quick story about how I met this family: I was shooting an engagement and bridal session for Amanda and Mike back in May in Galveston. As we were walking around, I saw a very large dog and I immediately wanted to go see him. He was sitting with his owners outside of a coffee shop and we started talking and one thing lead to another and here we are. We finally met up for their session after all this time and it was interesting to say the least. I'm not sure how many times I said "wow," but wow, Mom must have had her hands full raising these three boys ;)

In the second picture, I was actually only taking pictures of the boys, but then noticed Mom and Dad in the background looking on.

Along the same lines, I was photographing Mom and Dad, and saw the boys in the background minding their own business.

Simar family session

I was so excited to finally meet the Simars to do their family session and I'll be seeing them again next year for the wedding! This family is truly so sweet to each other and these girls are the best of friends as well as sisters. If y'all are looking to adopt a sister/daughter, can I submit my application?
We didn't go too far from their home and we spent some time trying different things. They did such a great job and they really enjoy taking pictures, which makes my job so much easier!

Rushing family

She just keeps getting cuter! I saw Baby Rushing and her parents at her 3 month session and now she's sitting and smiling! We ventured outside this time and practically did flips to keep her smiling throughout the whole session. I discovered that she really likes the feel of grass in her fingers, which sounds fine enough, but not when you want her to look up. Don't worry, she'll grow out of it and grass won't seem so interesting. See you next time, guys!

SNOW!!!!

It's snowing here! And it's not just a few little flakes. Like, it's actually snowing, WOW!! I know most people might not be excited by that, but wow, I am! It's pretty cool out there. And yesterday it was kind of warm here. Weather is so weird.
Silly me. I was so excited to take pictures that I went outside barefoot. That's cold.

Browning Family Session

The Brownings found me through another client of mine, which is always great for me to hear! I showed up to find Little Browning awake, alert, and happy. And I do mean happy. He smiled and looked at me without being distracted by anything else. Until he found his feet. He was a great sport and did amazingly well during the session! And his parents were just as wonderful during the session. Thanks guys for a great session!

Catching up, what I've been up to

Ok, I've been crazy bogged down lately with.......stuff. Lots of stuff. And then I went poking around in my hard drive and found stuff from months ago that I hadn't yet blogged - oops!

So let's start with the most recent and work backwards.

I've spent the week trying to get in Christmas orders and Christmas cards, and I think I'm done with Christmas cards for now. I think......*quickly checks to-do list*
I've also had two NILMDTS sessions in the past two weeks, so that's kept me busy, too.
Speaking of to-do lists, here it is:

storyboards copy

Ok, now let's go back to last week, Thanksgiving week.

During the course of the week, my sister came into town with a group that she's been traveling with as part of biotour.org They stopped in for a few days and we had the chance to hang out with them and they spent Thanksgiving with my family.

I spent a good portion of the week doing family sessions, which you may have noticed on my blog already. But there are others that I've done that are yet to come. I ended up driving to the Woodlands, Spring, Beaumont, and Sugarland.

On Thanksgiving day, I found a package that had been delivered, but somehow I missed it. It's the album from the WPPI print competition! It finally arrived! This is the story about it from last March. Isn't it purdy?
storyboards2
The week before Thanksgiving, I finally went to the Coldplay concert!!! Been waiting for months, and our group had a blast!

Ok, now let's really go back in time. These are a few pictures I took when we were preparing my display for the Kids Fair up at the Woodlands Mall.

Ok, let's go back even farther than that!
My birthday was back in July and it was so neat to get so many gifts from friends. But I'm not just showing you birthday gifts, but also a gift from Shelley (an August bride), and a gift from Tiffany and Brian, who were Ashley's clients. They were so sweet to think of me. I thoroughly enjoyed my gift card, yum, yum.
So starting at the top and going across, the gift from Tiffany and Brian. Then you'll see two parts of Ashley's birthday gift, which inclues a Hoops and YoYo panic button and several packages of Icebreakers Sours. Do you know Hoops and YoYo?? They are sooo funny. Check 'em out.
Second row: also from Ashley, months supply of Orbit gum, love it!! The next two come from Shelley's gift; her wedding was in August, and she gave me this really pretty coffee mug and several packets of tea. That was thoughtful! Thanks!! The last picture is from one of the birthday cards I received with pretty stickers all over it.

Continuing on, I also got this card from Adriane and Eddie with turtles on it. The inside story to that is that I grew up with many, many turtles, so I've been labeled for a lifetime. The next card is fun! You can wind it up and it plays a song. And as part of Shelley's gift, she also gave me some beautiful stationary, the kind that feels so natural and fibrous. Love it! Then we finish off with the totally cool Hoops and YoYo card, also from Ashley. See a theme with her stuff? Hoops and YoYo rock. That can't be denied.
storyboards3

I feel so blessed to have received such beautiful and thoughtful things. I still hti my panic button every so often and I can't help but crack up.
I think that's all for now. I have several things coming up in the next few weeks including images from my trip, several families, and other miscellaneous stuff. Toodles!
