Jena and Zach's wedding day

Few brides can remain as calm as Jena did before the ceremony. And few grooms look at his bride as she walks down the aisle as Zach did. They are truly a sweet couple!

One of the absolute highlights of the day was having the Houston Boy's Choir singing in the ceremony - beautiful! So many friends and family showed up to celebrate with the happy couple, and it made for a lively reception.

Looking for volunteers

*****UPDATE: I will also be in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. The East Texas sessions will be done Sunday through Monday or Tuesday, and the DWF sessions will be Tuesday through Wednesday or Thursday. Please call me if you're interested! (832) 439-2679 *****

There are people and events that should be honored and never forgotten.

This is the thought that spurred a special project that I've taken on for myself. I'm looking to photograph veterans that served in World War II as a tribute and a honor to them. For a little bit of their time, I would like to do a photo session and listen to any stories they have to share. In the end, I would like to provide them with some prints from the session.

I'm specifically looking for anyone in the Marshall, Linden, Hughes Springs, and anywhere in between. I'll be in the area between June 28 and June 30 and I would love to know if you have a special person in mind for this session.

I'm not selling anything and I'm not asking for anything other than an hour or two. I will only be taking a limited number of sessions as part of this initial project, but I will still be available to do this kind of session in the future for a special session fee. So if you have a grandfather, or a great-uncle or friend, etc. that wouldn't mind volunteering, please contact me and we can discuss the details. Call me at (832) 439-2679 or email me at dianna (@) karellephotography.com

The images below were taken of Col. James Johnson Jr., (Ret.) in San Antonio this past May. He was a pilot in the Air Force during the war and we used a few of the photographs and framed drawings that he has hanging in his home as well as a picture taken on their wedding day.

Becca's Bridal session

Yea, Becca and Josh are now married! I'm so happy for them! Aaaaand, I'm also happy that I finally get to show her bridal pictures! I've learned that the key to getting a big smile from Becca is just to say, "Joshie!" Guaranteed.

Little Venghaus's portrait session

She has the sweetest smile! And if you look really, really close, you might notice that one of those little teeth is about to come out, and so we did a session for this little Miss Venghaus before it falls out. And she took extra care to dress her baby doll Riley so that they would match for the pictures.

Alex's senior portrait session....The Woodlands Portrait Photographer

I'm so excited to show you a few highlights from Alex's senior session. The day was perfect and the lighting was wonderful, but better yet, the model was great! I was impressed and relieved at how relaxed Alex is in front of the camera and how easy he is to work with. Thanks for doing such a great job and congratulations on graduating!

365 - Week 22

Slacker, no more!! It's been a long absence from my photo-a-day, and I had a lot going on so it made it difficult to keep up with. But I'm back on track, hopefully.

The sky was beautiful on this day!!

This shot represents good news. With help from a friend, I was able to at least restore my music after having my computer stop working on me. I'm still working on restoring other things.

Going along with the computer issues, this is part of the restoration process.

Dust.

I'll leave this one as a "what is it?" but it may be very hard to guess.

Basil olive dipping oil. I love basil!

Shake up the dipping oil.
365-0529-8

Shake it up a little more.

Then, watch it settle.

What is it? This might be an easy one.

This is what happens to lipstick when you twist it while the cap is still one. Oops!

Jena's bridal session

Now that it's safe and the groom is allowed to see her, I wanted to show you a few shots from Jena's bridal session that we did in March. She was so calm and natural and easy to work with! Thanks Jena for making the pictures so beautiful.
50 cool points to the person who can tell me where we shot her session :)
