The Unknown Reindeer

This was sent to me and I thought it was hilarious. I love how his ears bounce around.

Generation 1

Before painting the house, we had to scrape off the old paint, and the layer beneath that, too. I was a scraper, and I have the cuts and scratches on my fingers to prove it.

What's wrong, Drew? Did someone take your paint brush?

Paint, paint, paint, my little minions!

I didn't catch his name, but we had a visitor who stopped by each group that was working that day and he sang a song for us. He did a beautiful job singing 'Amazing Grace,' and all four verses at that.

Almost done!

The inside of the porch was one of the last things to be finished and Michaelangelo and his colleague did a great job of persevering in that small space.

The group at the end of the day.

Fun in the sun!

The sun was out and it was a nice Sunday afternoon to be rollin' around. So I pulled the 'ol rollerblades, dusted them off, and headed over to a large neighborhood where I could spent some time going up and down the streets. I tell ya, it's been over a year since I've last rollerbladed, but I un-rustified myself kind of quickly.

Easy to Make

I decided to try this easy-peasy recipe. It's all store-bought and pretty much fool-proof....almost.

This is kind of like cooking shows on t.v. where they show you the end result first since they've already pre-baked it. And this actually isn't a true representation because this is a different variation using chocolate chip cookie dough and Reese's peanut butter cups.

Today, we're using brownie mix.

And Hershey's Caramel kisses.

Make sure to peel them before you finish baking the brownies because you'll need them as soon as they come out of the oven.

Using the mini-muffin tins, spoon a little bit of the brownie mix into each spot.

Then, you pop them in the oven for a bout 9 minutes, but not too much more because you want them to still be soft.

As soon as you take them out, quickly pop those little kisses into each one. Let them sit in the tins a little while so they can finish baking and setting.

Want a closer look?

Remember when I said they were almost fool-proof? Here's where you can learn from my mistakes. Lightly spray or butter the tins before putting the batter in them. And let the brownie variations cook slightly longer than the cookie dough. Or else yours will look like this!

They were completely destroyed when I tried to take them out. It was a sad day.

Kelcey and Jordan - Part 5

The final installment of Kelcey and Jordan's beautiful wedding. It might be a while until I have more wedding pictures to show.

I heard that the cake was really good.

"All you need is love"

I was so happy that I caught the groom with his family as they were saying good bye.

My favorite exiting shot of the year.

Kelcey and Jordan - Part 4

More pictures of Kelcey and Jordan, and still more to come......
