I´m here!

I´m in Colombia and internet usage is sparse. There are many people trying to use internet so we have to take turns in the mornings and evenings. So I can´t write too much. We spent the day out in a village nearby and we invited many people to the local church. We´re exhausted now and looking forward to three more days of this.

I'll be gone....

I'm packed and ready to go to Colombia for two weeks, so updates will be sporadic at best. And yes, I'm taking a camera, of course.

Little Charis

At less than a week of being in this world, she was cute and a sleepy little thing. She was easily content with a feeding and a warm body to hold her.

Christine and Daniel

Christine and Daniel had a beautiful wedding at the Briscoe Manor in Sugarland. Due to circumstances, I didn't shoot as much as I usually do because I had to take on the role of 'light assistant,' so I have mostly detail shots.
Sorry it's so short, I just have so many things to do before leaving on Saturday.

In Memory of Daisy

I ordered some cards in memory of Daisy. I picked three of my favorite images of her and had them printed on 5x7 linen cards. Then I put some information on the back. Am I obsessive?

The Valadez Family

A short drive to Austin led me to a hot portrait session in the Texas heat. But they were troopers. Elena cracks me up - you may notice that her hand is in her mouth about 75% of the time. She seems to pay attention to rapid snapping in front of her and the sound of a camera clicking in close proximity.

I think this is my favorite one!

Monday thoughts

Maybe I should change it to 'Monday Ramblings' because I feel like I'm just rambling.

-I love checking things off my of my to-do list, and today I was able to check off about three or four major tasks. Yea!!

-I just got back from Florida, but I'm leaving again on Saturday for two weeks to Colombia. I'm going on missions trip with my church and then I'll be spending a week with my family.

-As we landed in Ft. Myers, I could see the lights that outlined the edge of land, and also the moon skimming across the water. So cool!

-I ordered some cards with pictures of my dog Daisy and I kind of ordered the wrong style. I meant to order 'folded' but instead ordered 'flat.' Oh well. I'll try to show them this week.

This week, I've been listening to Royksopp, Coldplay, Starsailor, and Viva Voce.

Back from Florida!

You probably didn't know I was in Florida, but that's because I wasn't able to get online while I was there. Pictures from Jacquie and Kris's wonderfully fun wedding will be up soon....... promise.
