Catching up

This is a big catch up week for me. It seems that I have several projects going on aside from my my regular work.

Once Kids Fair was finished, I knew that I had a presentation to prepare for the Woodlands Photography Club so I set to work on that. It's a tough deal sometimes because you don't know where everyone is coming from or what they want to hear or what they already know, etc. I tried to be kind of broad and not too technical and then just hoped for the best.

It went really well and I was so glad I had the opportunity to speak at the club. I was the VP last year and the Secretary and Hospitality person the year before, so I took this year off because I had so much going on. So this was my first time back since 2007 ( I think.) It's changed so much since I was there! Yes, there were several people that I knew when I was there, but so many that I didn't know, too.

I had notes to keep me on track the whole time since this isn't something I normally do, but I didn't end the way I wanted to do. I wanted to challenge everyone there to look at their surroundings differently and to constantly be on the lookout for locations to shoot in their home and out as they're driving around. Look at things with new eyes and really push to make something out of nothing.

Oh, well, next time.

Thanks for everyone that made it out there last night!! Ya'll were a great and had wonderful questions.

Yay! I know someone else going to the club meetings! We'll have to meet for a Margie before the next one. I keep meaning to attend but haven't yet. Sorry I missed you at this one!
