I'll take any chance I can get to take a trip to College Station - WHOOP!
Julie and John wanted to have their engagement session up at A&M because that's where they met and it was meaningful and personal to them. So we started off on campus and walked around the MSC area, the Academic Building, and the YMCA building. Then, like any maroon-bleeding Aggies would do, we headed over to Northgate and finished off the session there.
Ok, let's be real here: I definitely enjoyed the session as a I always do, but my favorite part was after the session. We headed over to Layne's for a bite before heading back to Houston. Layne's, people!! Love Layne's. Oh, but you already know that.
Thanks guys for taking me back to the motherland! I'm looking forward to the bridal session and the wedding!

Lisa and Robert's wedding day Part 2
We're back for more pictures from Lisa and Robert's wedding day!
They made their grand entrance down the stairs where everyone was awaiting them with bubbles.
I don't normally eat cake at weddings for various reasons (no time, and can you imagine eating cake every weekend????), but their cakes looked SO YUMMY! So I did have some cake after the reception as we were packing up to leave and let me tell you: they both really were SO YUMMY!

Lisa and her mom, sharing a moment.
The happy couple.
This little kid has some serious moves!

Remember when I said earlier that Rob cut loose? He really, really did. He had a great time at the reception!

Lisa and Robert's wedding day Part 1
Over ten months in planning and the wedding day finally arrived! Lisa looked as a beautiful bride should and just looked so happy the whole day, and Robert really cut loose and enjoyed the day.
They had their ceremony at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church here in Houston and it's so beautiful inside! And they were so smart to have their reception literally across the street at the Le Colombe D'or venue - it made it so easy for guests to go back and forth.
Check out Lisa and Robert's engagement session and then Lisa's bridal session that we did during this time.

The happy couple!

Lisa chose beautiful flowers for her bouquet.
I love how the church looks and it was also such a beautiful day.

Jordan and I stopped to get a night shot of the church before leaving. It looks beautiful at night.

I think Lisa surprised herself and all of us when she started crying right before walking down the aisle, but I can totally sympathize because I'm sure I'd be doing the exact same thing!

Lisa's sister looks on as the bridesmaid.

Robert steps out of the church as they head over to the reception.
The rest to come tomorrow!!

I'm out!
.....of town. I'm leaving very, very early tomorrow morning for a missions trip to Barranquilla Colombia. I'll be gone for a week and will very limited, if any, internet access.
At this very moment, I'm frantically trying to finish packing, shutting everything down, and replying to every last email that has come my way in the past few days.
To see the pictures from last year's trip, go to my website http://www.karellephotography.com/ and click on 'Digital Studio' on the far right. From there, follow the instructions and look for Barranquilla Colomba 2008 (or something like that).

Jessica and John's engagement session ~ The Woodlands, Texas
And here's another session that was moved around because of the storm. But we were finally able to pick a day and a time. Then Jessica ended up with an injured knee, but I'm so thankful that she was a great sport and was willing to do anything I said, short of jumping.
Jessica and John, you guys were great and fun to work with. I'm so glad I caught a few of John's smiles. You guys look so natural and so happy together, and the pictures turned out great!
I'd also like to thank Ava for her assistance in this photo shoot - thanks for helping out!
