Part 3! More coming.......

It seems everyone wants to get in on the church action.
After the ceremony, we headed over to the Raveneaux to do some shots with the bridal party and the bride and groom. Goofy guys!

Just the girls.
The happy couple.
Beautiful!
Beautiful cake!

Ok, check this out!!! Jason designed his own cake and had the drawings for it. (He's quite the engineer.) Even the cymbals are edible as they are cookies.
How cool is this??? For those that don't know, Jason is the drummer in a band (I don't know the name, sorry!) so this cake is totally fitting for him.

I LOVE her ring!!

Chrissy and Jason's wedding Day Part 2
Welcome back to the second part of Chrissy and Jason's wedding day! Still, more to come.
I also want to mention that I had the assistance of Jordan Chan and he did a fabulous job, as always!
The preparation and ceremony took place at the Lakewood United Methodist Church in Tomball and both the bride and groom were getting anxious for the ceremony to start. Anxious, nervous, what's the difference?
Chrissy wore the most beautiful dress - she has great taste!

The little flower girl also had to get dressed and ready for her walk down the aisle.
And the ringbearer, too. They had big roles to play in the day.
I think the day suddenly becomes all the more real when the dress is put on - this is actually happening!

Ok, this isn't the best picture or anything, I agree. But I thought it was funny! Mickey Jason.
The last few moments before the ceremony starts.

This little guy was so cute!! He was supposed to walk down the aisle with the flower girl and the ringbearer, but he stopped at the door and let the other two fend for themselves.
Playing dress up!
"Ok, now it's your turn to play dress up."

Chrissy and Jason's wedding Day Part 1
This is the first in a series of Chrissy and Jason's wedding day, so stay tuned for more to come.
Ok, flashback: the engagement session in Galveston Finally, the wedding day! I know the week before the wedding was a bit stressful because the venue had to be changed due to the storm. Can you imagine suddenly changing the venue the week of your wedding???? Stress!! But it all turned out well and very beautiful, so all was well.
The girls gathered at The Salon earlier in the day to get their hair and make up done. It was such a nice relaxing time to hang out, chat, and have some lunch.

Chrissy's hair was so beautiful and perfectly done, and this flower was a beautiful touch.
All smiles!
Now it's Chrissy's turn.

Her mom looks on as Chrissy is transformed.

More to come soon!

Tagged - 6th picture, 6th folder
This is a fun little game...I was tagged by my friend Jacquie to post the 6th picture in the 6th folder in My Pictures...so here it is.
(In all honesty, I don't use the My Pictures folder, so I had to dig into my hard drive and just kept opening the 6th folder wherever it was.)
This picture is from Little Bethancourt's 1 year session.
Ok, I'm tagging Ashley K., Amy L., Susan L., Jenny H., Courtney M., Kelli H., Matt N., Christie L., Mindy H., and Emily K.

Lisa's bridals
Lisa and I got together a few months back to do her bridals and now that she is married, I can show them! Her hair and make up were done by her cousin, who did a fabulous job. Then, her mother assisted us with lighting and such for the rest of the time. Because they had their reception at Le Colombe D'or, we also did her bridal session there since it is a beautiful place.

NILMDTS Annual Fund Drive

With the Month of October being recognized as Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, The Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep Foundation holds its Annual Fund Drive for six weeks starting in mid-September and ending in October.
President Ronald Reagan enacted Proclamation 5890 in October of 1988 to recognize that each year, approximately a million pregnancies in the United States alone end in miscarriage, stillbirth, or the death of a newborn child. Reagan stated, "A national observance offers us the opportunity to increase our understanding of the great tragedy involved in the deaths of unborn or newborn babies. It also enables us to consider how, as individuals and communities, we can meet the needs of bereaved parents and family members... " To read the full Proclamation signed by Reagan, CLICK HERE.

Trying to get back in the swing of things
Yes, I know I haven't blogged in two weeks. Egads!!
What have I been doing that's kept me away from 'my precious?' Um, let's see.....
Well, there was the storm, which I've covered in depth. After that, I had lots of catching up to do, which is what I've doing, I suppose.
I also had several Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep events, including a Houston meeting and then a training seminar with one of the co-founders, and then I had a few sessions. So that's been part of why I've been out of pocket.
I've been preparing for my missions trip to Barranquilla, Colombia again this year and that requires preparing myself for the trip and also raising prayer and financial support before I go.
I've also had some opportunities to hang out with some friends which is great since that's not something I normally get to do when I'm in the middle of a busy season.
Oh, good news!! I may have a new blog soon!! Soooooo excited. Can't wait!!
