Another beautiful wedding at a beautiful venue. Rachel and Kevin were very sweet together and they definitely had a fun bridal party. Few weddings go as smoothly and as on-time as this one did. So, all involved had a relaxing evening and then they really cut loose at the reception.
For some reason, I found that I like more of the pictures in black and white, and I had more detail shots that I liked.

Plachy family
It's Caroline's first Christmas! Doesn't she look adorable in her pretty little dress? We got a few smiles out of her, but overall, she was just entertained with shiny things and things in the window.

The Kohlleffel Family
It's a little bit of pressure to photograph for another photographer. Ashley of Ashley K Photography wanted some family pictures for Christmas cards so we had a session last week with the whole gang. Watch for the little one's facial expressions in each one. He knew no one else was looking.

Myrick Christmas pictures
"1, 2, 3... smile!"
Hmmmm, he smiles and she cries.
It's so hard being a one-year-old. But Cannon and Rebecca did great and maybe one of these years we'll get the picture with the wreath in it.

Trevino family session
Ok, I'm doing my best to catch up and not fall too far behind this season. Let's not even talk about Christmas shopping - I haven't started!
I met up with the Trevinos close to downtown to shoot a family session, but it was the session that 'almost wasn't.' When I woke up that morning, a heavy fog had set in and it was barely clearing by the time we were supposed to start. We kept hoping for the best. Thankfully, it worked out and we were able to shoot.

More Christmas music
Ok, so I forget to include a few other Christmas CDs I like:

Christmas Music
I don't like listening to Christmas music before Thanksgiving. I like to be able to enjoy one holiday, then the next.

Rebecca St. James
Maybe This Christmas, Too? (Has Eisley, Damien Rice, etc. I don't love all the songs, just some)
It's hard to say this is one of my favorites because I don't actually have it yet and I haven't fully listened to it. But Wayne Watson and Jeremy Good have collaborated to record this album, with the talent of background singer Katie Shearin. I'm looking forward to the release party this Friday.
Any suggestions for good Christmas CDs?

Monday thoughts
I'm glad the weekend's over, that's all I can say.
-I've changed out the music on my website. This week, we have:
'Only This Moment' by Royksopp
'Warning Sign' by Coldplay
'Intercessional' by Andy Hunter
-one of my goals this week is to update the galleries a little bit, or at least add some pictures here and there.
-Will Houston ever know the thrill of a cold December?
-I have had a two-weekend break from weddings, but we're gearing up for another one this weekend. Gotta un-rustify myself.
