Tayler and Coby's wedding day Part 1
They couldn't have chosen a more beautiful day! Tayler and Coby said "I Do" on a perfect day in March with friends and family at Oakland on Burnet Bay. So many people helped out with their day before, during, and after and that made it special because everyone was involved.
I love hearing people's stories on their wedding days: it seems that Coby was so nervous on their first date that he went through an entire packet of Big Red Gum. How sweet! During the ceremony, they asked for the rings, and Tayler's ring was handed to Coby by the best man in an empty Big Red box. Let's all "awwwwww" together. Then, when the bride looked at the maid of honor for the groom's ring, there was a sudden realization that it had been left in the bridal room. So the quick thinking bridesmaid took off her own ring and told the bride to "go with it." Tayler rolled with the punches and spent a few minutes laughing about it during the ceremony! I know they'll be telling that story for a while.
It's always special to be referred to a new client by either a past client or a guest of a client, and better yet when it's both! I was honored to shoot Tayler and Coby's special day along with Scot and we definitely enjoyed ourselves at this beautiful outdoor wedding.
Come back tomorrow for the rest of it!!

Krystal and Matt's wedding day - Part 2
We're picking up where we left off from yesterday with Krystal and Matt's wedding day.
After the ceremony, Krystal and Matt enthusiastically agreed to leave for a little bit to go some portrait shots of the two of them. On the way to the rice plant, I decided to stop in this small field with this large tree and we got a few shots there.

Now, we're at the rice plant and this place is amazing! Most people would just drive right past it, but it has so many possibilities! And Krystal and Matt were so great with everything we did!

How cool are they?!?!?!
This is kind of a happy accident because the flash didn't fire every single time, but I love the result.

You can tell they're in love.

The beautiful bride.

They shared a great recepetion with their guests under this tent during a beautiful night. The weather was great, the food was tasty, and the company was fun.

A few details.

I felt like doing something a little different with one of their images and I turned it into a painting. I really liked the colors in this one and I like how the painting turned out.

Krystal and Matt's wedding day - Part 1
I met with Krystal and Matt barely a month before their wedding day to talk about shooting their wedding and I was so excited after our meeting. They described the location of the wedding since it would be outdoors and it sounded lovely. They also told me a little bit about themselves and I really enjoyed knowing a little bit more about them. In that same meeting, I was given free reign to be as artistic as I felt during shooting and also in the editing process (sweet!!!) And they told me repeatedly that they were up for anything and would do whatever I said. Thanks guys so much for the freedom to do whatever!!
As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by Matt and his father. Matt showed us around and I noticed that he was so calm and happy and ready for the wedding. We then headed over to say hi to Krystal and I found her under divided pieces of hair and she peeked an eye out at me to see me as her hair was still being done. From there, we just moved around and documented their beautiful day as it unfolded.
On the drive to the wedding, I saw a rice supply factory building something or other and I asked them if they wouldn't mind going there after the ceremony. They both said, "yes!" and I was so excited to get to do that. You'll see those pictures in tomorow's post.

A fun shot of the shoes
These are the earrings Krystal wore for the wedding
Look at the hair on this little one! So cute!

An excited response as Krystal looks at her hair and loves it!

Her dad came in to see her for the first time before the ceremony.
I love this sweet moment between the two of them.

The guys are ready for the ceremony.
His dad is a character!

I love this shot with all the green and beautiful spots around her face.
What a beautiful ceremony!!

The proud bridesmaids look on with happiness.
I have no idea what they were saying at this point to each other as Matt got the ring from his father.

I call this one, "Three's a Crowd."
